East Bay Wildlife Management Area
Description
The primary purposes of East Bay Wildlife Management Area (WMA) are for wildlife management, wildlife habitat management, and wildlife-dependent recreation. The WMA encompasses 38 acres.
The 0.1-mile universally accessible path leads from the parking lot to a viewing platform in the grassland. This viewing platform provides wildlife and nature enthusiasts an opportunity to view many grassland bird species, including passerines and raptors, as well as a rare calcareous cliff community on the backdrop of the Poultney River. From the viewing platform there is a short foot path to the waters edge for canoe or kayak access.
