Murray Park on the Feeder Canal Trail
Description
The historic Glens Falls Feeder Canal goes from Glens Falls through Hudson Falls and intersects with the Champlain Canalway Trail/Empire State Trail in Fort Edward. It is seven miles long and delivers water from the Hudson River above Glens Falls, depositing it at the highest point of the Champlain Barge Canal. This park offers picnic tables shaded by several mature trees. There are two free parking areas to access the park and the Feeder Canal Trail. There is paved parking at 273 Main Street/NYS Route 4 at the seasonal Jack and Jill Ice Cream stand with trailhead amenities such as a bike fixing station and a map of the trail system. A second unpaved parking area is located on Ferry Street.
