HENRY KNOX TRAIL REENACTMENT

WASHINGTON COUNTY LEG: DECEMBER 13, 2025 STARTING AT 9 AM

WALK IN HISTORY’S FOOTSTEPS

Join us in Fort Edward, NY, for a once-in-a-lifetime reenactment of the Henry Knox Trail! Step back in time to become part of the “Noble Train of Artillery” that Colonel Knox led from Crown Point to Boston in the winter of 1775 – 1776. This brave act came to be known as one of the greatest feats of the American Revolution, turning the tides of the 10-month siege and bolstering the Continental Army’s ability to fight back against the British.

JOIN US IN CELEBRATION

To mark the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution’s first military engagement, historic sites nationwide are gearing up to share how they played a part in our Great American Tapestry. Throughout the next few years leading up to the event, we’ll highlight how local events, people and inventions helped shape the course of a modern nation.

As part of America’s 250th celebration, counties throughout the Northeast have teamed up to celebrate the world-changing history that happened here!

Naturally, this includes Washington, Warren, Saratoga, Rensselaer, Albany, Essex, and Columbia Counties, which will each host their own celebrations as the multi-day reenactment travels along the Knox Trail through New York and Massachusetts.

WASHINGTON COUNTY:
THEN AND NOW

Of course, Washington County’s impact extends far beyond the Revolutionary War! From the abolition movement to the Industrial Revolution, Washington County & its residents were at the forefront of change.
