Washington County has the trails of your hiking, biking, snowmobiling, and skiing dreams. Some trails feature both suburban and rural scenery while others highlight the beauty of Upstate New York. Looking for trails during the winter months for snowmobiling or skiing? We’ve got those too! We have several trails and snowmobiling clubs that ride all over. Hike, Bike, or Paddle Along the Empire State Trail

The 750-mile trail passes through Washington County via the Champlain Canalway Trail, which runs from Waterford to Whitehall.  Bicyclists and hikers can explore New York State’s extraordinary experiences, people, and places. Plus, you can hit the water and paddle your way along the route, too!

Skenesborough Waterfront Community Park

We host various events on the waterfront. The site offers indoor and outdoor pavilions with fire pit for rent. The park offers electric and water and showers free of charge,donations accepted.

Lauderdale Park

Washington County's public park on Lake Lauderdale. 2021 Schedule June 26th - September 6th open 7 days a week Hours Picnic Area and Beach: 11am – 7pm (lifeguards on duty at this time) Park Features Basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, swings and nature trails, swimming. Canoes and Kayaks permitted. General Admission: $2/car (parking fee)     ***SPECIAL: $20 season pass***
