Through food recovery partnerships and educational initiatives, the organization aims to build a strong, sustainable local food system. Their programs include Farm-2-Library, Supplemental Student Nutrition, Edible Education, and much more.
Comfort Food Community also operates the Fresh Food Collective, which recovers surplus produce from local farms and distributes that food to pantries, soup kitchens, and libraries. In turn, this relationship brings real, wholesome food to at-risk households and supports farmers in the communities Comfort Food Community serves.
