Gramp’s Old School – Greenwich, NY
Stay in a one-room schoolhouse, a neat relic of Washington County’s history! Originally built in 1850, Gramp’s Old School was recently updated with modern amenities to ensure a delightful stay for guests.

Hopkins House Farm – Hebron, NY
An adorable homestead with a richly detailed history, Hopkins House Farm is named after Captain David Hopkins of the Continental Army. During the spring of 1790, he built this homestead, featuring a 2-story farmhouse with Greek-influenced Federal architecture. Some correspondence between Hopkins and Thomas Jefferson is preserved in the national archives!
Now, the farm serves its owners as a great central location to stay connected to the community as a bed and breakfast. Its nine historic outbuildings also house a number of chickens and dogs.

Rice Mansion Inn – Cambridge, NY
Nearby in the heart of Cambridge rests the beautiful Rice Mansion Inn. An interesting piece of local history overlooking Main Street, the Inn was built in 1903 for seed tycoon Jerome B. Rice and his wife, Laura.
Rice was an interesting man of many accomplishments! During the Civil War, he’d been a Prisoner of War, and his rheumatic arthritis kept him wheelchair-bound for most of his adult life – but he never let that slow him down. He became president of the Rice Seed Company, the second-largest seed company of the time. Then, he helped launch the Cambridge Fair, which was the second-largest in New York State and preceded the Washington County Fair.

Today, the mansion and its carriage house offer a total of 12 guest rooms, each featuring the elegance and grace of the early 19th Century enhanced by the comforts of today’s standards.
