Washington County has many attractions to keep your whole family busy. We’re home to festivals, which not only celebrate our agricultural roots but also our historical and cultural heritages. We also boast many historical and recreational tours, either self-guided or by group, to enrich your visit. We’re also home to lots of trails, waterways, and lakes that include the Hudson River, Lake George, Lake Champlain, the Champlain Canal and Hadlock & Copeland Ponds.

Champlain Canalway Trail

The Champlain Canalway Trail is a 62-mile multi-use trail extending from Waterford to Whitehall in northeastern New York. Sharing a footprint with the Empire State Trail and parts of State Bike Route 9, the route takes walkers and cyclists through a landscape rich with its agricultural and cultural heritage with many points of interest to explore along the way. The full length of the trail parallels the Erie Canalway National Heritage Water Trail with trailheads at water access points. A unique two-story rustic events barn venue nestled between scenic Vermont & New York's Hudson Valley. Established in 1772 the barn was built in 1845, Lakota's Farm spans 34 acres & features peaceful pastoral vistas, a stream leading into two spring-fed ponds & our family of rescue horses. The Sperry Family Farm LLC

Hello and Welcome! We are The Sperry Family, John and Dorothy and together we run a local goat farm! We raise very friendly and super cute Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats! We offer an on the farm experience in our goat barn through Airbnb that allows you to get up close and personal with our girls! Our girls help us handcraft our amazing goat milk soap that we offer for sale online and on the farm as well as a variety of other bath and body products. Skenesborough Waterfront Community Park

We host various events on the waterfront. The site offers indoor and outdoor pavilions with fire pit for rent. The park offers electric and water and showers free of charge,donations accepted.
