Round House Bakery – How The Dough Was Started
Lifelong bakers, Lisa and Scott Carrino say their greatest fans have been their friends and family. The encouragement and support of their closest people led them to offer their baked goods to the public, a decision the Carrinos are happy they made.
Lisa’s love of baked goods began when she was just 10-years-old and started her first professional cookie business. She kept this business going through her college years, leading her to obtain a degree in sculpture. Her partner, Scott, grew up just outside of NYC in the heart of Italian-American culture with his family’s Italian deli. The Carrino Family Deli claims to have created the 8’ sub (which is probably where Scott’s love of bread began!)
Together, the couple’s mission is to create delicious baked goods using ingredients from local farms, producers and suppliers. In fact, some of their dishes even feature produce directly from the farm’s own garden!
As you can see, Round House Bakery embodies everything it means to be a community-oriented “farm-to-table” business in Washington County, NY.

Round House Bakery: Beyond the Bread
Let’s be real: the bread was only just the beginning for these expert bakers. Now, the Carrinos offer a plethora of tasty items in their bakery’s Little Shop.
A local favorite, Round House’s pizzas, paninis, and focaccia are packed with flavor, using fresh herbs and garlic combined with finely-aged cheeses. For these products, vegan options are also available.
Furthermore, their muffins, granola, scones, snack cakes, and tea breads are the perfect sweet treats for your next breakfast…or any other meal, we don’t judge! The flavor options go on and on, each packed with the finest locally-grown ingredients.
Finally, cookies are a Round House fan favorite. Sugar cookies, ginger spice, chocolate chip, oatmeal, raisin, are among the varieties offered. Baked with their very special recipes, and some even having gluten-free variations, these confections are sure to satisfy your taste buds.
A Destination for Fun: Events & Experiences at the Round House Bakery
Naturally, there’s much more to the Round House Bakery than just their baking! Their scenic location is home to several buildings, including the Round House they’ve taken the name from. Fun fact: this unique building was once one of the largest cordwood projects of its kind!
On the other hand, the structure housing both their Little Shop and bakery was built with another natural construction method: straw bales, which are great at keeping out the cold Northern winters. Want to see these special buildings up close? Just set up an appointment for a tour!
Additionally, the Bakery hosts a variety of fun events throughout the year, from full-menu sit-down dinners and pizza & jazz nights to workshops, retreats and more! Guests love soaking in the ambiance of this special destination’s unique indoor and outdoor spaces. Plus, their Round House also doubles as an event venue for select special occasions, such as weddings and birthday parties.
